1. HOW TO ENTER. To enter electronically, access our web site at www.travelgaycanada.ca/via and follow instructions. Sweepstakes begins 9:00:00 AM on June 1, 2008. ENTRIES MUST RECEIVED BY 11:59 PM PDT ON August 31, 2008. Limit: one entry per person/household/email address. In the case of multiple entries, only the first entry will be accepted. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account. Use of automated devices not valid for entry. Entrant need not be present to win. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service may apply. It is your sole responsibility to notify Sponsor in writing if you change your e-mail address.

2. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to individual legal residents and 21 years of age or older as of, who are legal residents of Canada and the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (except employees, and their immediate families and members of the same household of Travel Gay Canada, the Canadian Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, & its sponsors, affiliates, agents, judges & advertising, production & promotion agencies. Winners' travel companions must be at least 21 years of age or older as of and complete a liability release prior to any travel plans taking place)

3. PRIZE/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: $3450
Prize includes:

• Return rail tickets for two passengers to Halifax, NS from anywhere within the Windsor – Québec City Corridor on VIA Rail Canada. Class of service will be in VIA 1 First Class (if available and where applicable), and Easterly Class Service (if available and where applicable).
• Two nights accommodation in Halifax at accommodation selected by VIA Rail Canada
• Winner can select dates for travel. All travel subject to availability and blackout periods with VIA Rail and hotel
• Prize if valid for one full year from date of contest draw

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winners will be determined from all eligible entries received in random drawings to be conducted no later than by a representative of Travel Gay Canada whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by mail. Prize may be awarded to alternate winner if affidavit is not returned within 14 days after mailing to winner or if prize notification letter or prize is returned as undeliverable.

5. MISCELLANEOUS: Winners must accept prize as provided & provide social security number & will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility & liability/publicity release. Winners agree to use of name, address, likeness, &/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without further compensation to the extent permitted by law. This offer is void where prohibited by law & subject to all applicable federal, state, & local laws and regulations. Any & all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Sweepstakes must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges & warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. By accepting prize, winner agrees to release Sponsor, its directors, employees, officers, & agents, including without limitation, its advertising & promotion agencies, from any & all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes & the awarding, receipt, &/or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Sponsor & judges not responsible for late, damaged, garbled, incomplete, or misdirected entries or communications; for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Sweepstakes, & reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should any virus, bug, technical failures, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In the event of such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted & a random drawing will be held from among all eligible entries received prior to such time. Prizes have no cash value and cannot be sold and no cash will be refunded if any portion is not used. 
“All VIA Rail transportation is provided from the VIA Rail station within the Windsor – Quebec City Corridor closest to the winner’s residence. No transportation or compensation is provided for travel between the winner’s residence and the VIA Rail station.”
