New Brunswick
The only official bilingual province in Canada, New Brunswick has several centuries' worth of colourful history, culture, and natural beauty to show off. Come and celebrate the joie de vivre of L'Acadie and let your true colors shine!

Only in New Brunswick can you walk on the ocean floor and experience one of the Marine Wonders of the World the highest tides in the world high as a four-story building! Visit the Hopewell Cape Rocks and see the results of the tremendous power of the ocean's carving of the world famous "Flower Pots".

Swim at the hidden waterfalls in Fundy National Park or in the warmest saltwater beaches north of Virginia. In New Brunswick there are beaches as far as the eye can see. At Kouchibouguac National Park is Kelly's Beach, a sand bar several miles long that is popular with the local gay community.

The three largest cities are Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton, the capital city. All three offer activities and services for the gay and lesbian traveller.

GLBT Legislation: The Human Rights Act of New Brunswick currently protects against discrimination and harassment based on sexual orientation.

That's a lot of Water: New Brunswick's most famous geological feature is the 'flowerpot rocks' at Hopewell Cape, created by a combination of melting glaciers and tidal erosion over the course of thousands of years. These powerful tides can rise as high as 16 metres - an astounding 52 feet! With each rise and fall, over one-hundred-billion tons of water flow in and out of the bay.

Noteworthy: New Brunswick is Canada's only official bilingual province, with approximately 33% of the population being French speaking.
