GLBT Legislation: Nunavut included "sexual orientation" in it's human rights legislation as a prohibited ground of discrimination in 2003.
A New Addition: Nunavut became Canada's largest and newst territory on April 1, 1999, formed out of the eastern part of the Northwest Territories.
Noteworthy: Nunavut means "our land" in Inukitut, the language of the Inuit.
